2025 Linz Electronic Art Festival Main Visual ©arselectronica

From September 3 to 7, the world’s most influential art and technology event—the Linz Ars Electronica Festival 2025—was grandly held in Austria. This year’s theme, “Panic,” explores how art and technology respond to systemic fragility and inspire new creativity amid crises and uncertainties.

This year, “CDSA Urban Digital Skin (City Digital Skin Art)” made its debut as a multinational collaborative team. Curators and artists from the China Academy of Art, Bauhaus University Weimar in Germany, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore jointly organized the exhibition “Beyond Screens.”.
The participating artists include Ayça Tugran, Kevin Blackistone, Lee Chaewon Nicole, MUMA Island, Spinor Kojia, Sreeshna Sowmya, and others, who explore cutting-edge topics such as mixed reality, artificial intelligence, and Earth’s ecology through large-scale digital media art.
The curatorial team is led by Ruan Yueli (China Academy of Art/CDSA), Susa Pop (Public Art Lab/Weimar Bauhaus University), and Ina Conradi (NTU), in collaboration with Maria Grazia Mattei (MEET Milan Digital Culture Center) and Dominique Moulon (French curator/critic), achieving cross-regional and cross-cultural cooperation.
