Awaken to dreams

The human inner world can be understood as a microcosm, where each unique mind generates meanings that are not universally shared, transcending time and space. Religious and non-logical forms of consciousness can be seen as cognitive “bugs” within this system. Drawing on Taoist philosophy, we create content that resists consensus, such as the idea of “Heaven-and-Human Unity”, which is not universally perceivable. The Dream-Making Machine embodies these phenomena, producing extraordinary byproducts of such mental “bugs.” For audiences who cannot intuitively grasp the Tao, artificial frameworks are provided to guide engagement, framing the experience as a dream. Inspired by Zhuang Zhou’s butterfly dream, narratives traverse reality and illusion, with the Dream-Making Machine mediating the dream, and the brain remaining the singular locus of reality.
